I bought this 1993 240SX last year via Bobby. It is my first 240SX. I am, for the most part, a 240SX newb. Bobby always has a great eye in finding things, especially 240SXs that are laid up in somebody’s yard or in some field. When he told me about this one, I just had to get it. If anything, to give me an excuse to acquire a 240SX before they get really scarce. It’s no secret that the prices on S13-style 240SX are going up, and will go up. Even rolling chassis that are stripped and in bad condition are easily sold. I’m of the pack-rat mindset… if there is a remote possibility I will use it, I will keep it.
Anyway, back to this version. As I said, it is a 1993 model, but someone previously had did a full pignose swap down to the foam bumper insert. Everything is there with no tears. It also has a sun-roof, so it makes it an SE model. Again, I am a newb with the 240SX. It is an automatic version, and someone had attempted to do some headwork, or at least that is what I think it is, since the head and other engine parts were in the boot. It also came with a bolt-in half cage.
Bobby did a fantastic job of cleaning it up for me. I couldn’t ask for a better brother and friend.
What is in the works for this 240SX? We shall see. I am not in any hurry to do anything with it yet. I have prjkt MAYHEM to work on next month. Some thoughts that have crossed my mind are a basic no-frills budget 240SX KA24DE without all the headaches of swapping along with a nice tire/wheel and suspension package with a VLSD upgrade and exhaust work. Prjkt MAYHEM is going to take a lot of my time, and rightly so. Sometimes it is just best to stay simple.
