Happy New Year to all of you who are actively following along with prjktMAYHEM. 2015 was the starting year for some ambitious works by me and Bobby Mayhem. Now that we are in 2016, we are pressing forward with action.
If you have been exposed to Japanese in one shape or form, invariably you will have heard the word “kokoro” “心” or as most non-Japanese will immediately translate it to mean “heart”. One will be correct, but it goes much deeper than this, at least for me it does. For me, “心” is part of the fighting spirit, and if you have taken any form of Japan-based martial arts, you will have heard and used “Shin, Gi, Tai”. In Japanese, these three words written together is “心技体”. You notice the kanji for kokoro, and the other two are “technique” and “body”. The literal translation of “kokoro” in English is “mind”, and it is this translation where I want to inject that a mind embodies the heart, passion, soul coupled with your technique and you maneuver yourself into a position where you are in an optimum position to win, move forward, overcome the obstacles, counter and deflect the things life will throw at you at any moment… “心技体” or as I emphasized “心”. Without it, everything you are doing is a total waste. Without it, prjktMAYHEM would be a total waste with no direction.
In 2015, prjktMAYHEM was just a thought that we forced into a reality. Well… the reality was always there and we started to flesh it out. As it stands right now, prjkt EVO VIII MAYHEM is actually as close to finished as one could get. Bobby Mayhem is ahead of me and has started off the year primed and is back in work on prjkt 240SX MAYHEM Coupe. Here’s what’s going down:

There’s actually a lot more going on, but I wanted to key in on the major stuff. If you are asking about prjkt 240SX MAYHEM’s Spirit Rei Miyabi full kit with Kamikaze system full carbon diffusers, those are on order and will be in the USA late February/early March via Mastermind NA. Also, the WORK Equip 05 wheels will be getting refurbished and widened to match the Miyabi. Currently, I am working with Jake of Threepiece. Another visit will be paid to Chase Bays for the SR20DET swap harness and other sundry items from Chase Bays, and while we are there, we will be looking into the Brake Booster Delete system and tucked brake line kit for both MAYHEM Coupe and MAYHEM.
As you can see, we have a lot of stuff stockpiled to feed to the cars. No easy task, but we are filled with fighting spirit and a whole lot of “心”. Yes… we love Tomei! (pictures from Bobby Mayhem)
Where is this all going? We have some targets set for 2016, and I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag, per se, so all we can ask you is to sit tight and stay tuned, but before moving forward, we would like to thank those in 2015 who we have made initial contacts with and we look forward to representing your products and services in 2016 and beyond.
