I decided to publish something regarding them for education purposes only after doing some research on the different camshaft duration and lift as a comparison to aftermarket configurations. There’s a cloud of misconception regarding FWD and RWD SR20 camshafts. With the exception of the SR20VE camshafts, the camshafts are interchangeable.

A pretty neat factoid exists regarding the FWD P10 Primera and B13/B14 Sentra SE-R/200SX SE-R intake camshaft with its 248 lobe and 10.0mm lift. The PS13 Silvia/RPS13 180SX series uses a 240 lobe and 9.2mm lift. You can use the P10/B13 intake camshaft in the RWD PS13/RPS13 for a mild bump up profile over stock without any modifications needed. The RWD SR20DE exhaust camshaft has a 246 duration and 9.2mm lift compared to the DET’s 240 duration and 9.2mm lift. If you’re on a budget or do not want to go with aftermarket camshafts, then this is the way to go.
I’m still researching the little-talked-about SR20DE Roller Rocker series engine and other offshoots of the SR family, and I will update this page as I find more information.
